If you’re looking for things to do during the last week of the summer holidays or a day out over a weekend, take a look at these fun dog-friendly attractions, perfect for all the family to enjoy!

Cheddar Gorge, Somerset

Discover Britain’s highest, inland limestone cliff formation rising to an impressive 450ft. Explore the stunning caves full of calcite formations and learn about our ancestors including Cheddar Man who is the oldest, most complete skeleton in Britain at over 10,000 years old. Grampain transport museum, Aberdeenshire

Located in the vibrant village of Alford, just 45 minutes from Aberdeen, the museum boasts an impressive range of transport exhibits, from travelling chariots of the 1800's to some of the fastest cars ever made. See here for more details.

Helmingham Hall Gardens, Suffolk

It is hard to exaggerate the effect this beautiful park, with its red deer, spectacular moated Hall in mellow patterned red brick with its famous gardens will have on the visitor. See here for more details

Stourton Woods, Lincolnshire

Cotswold Wildlife Park & Gardens, Oxfordshire

Cotswold Wildlife Park is proud to be the only large zoological collection in the UK to welcome dogs. It has been a dog-friendly attraction since it first opened in 1970 and won the Kennel Club's 'Be Dog Friendly' award for two years running. The Telegraph named the Park as one of Britain's 25 best dog-friendly days out. Keswick Launch, Cumbria

Lynmouth & Lynton Cliff Railway, Devon

The Lynton & Lynmouth Cliff Railway is the world's highest & steepest fully water powered railway and offers an amazing and unforgettable experience for all ages.

Opened in 1890, the steep track rises 500 feet above Lynmouth Bay to provide stunning views of the Exmoor coastline. It remains the UK's only fully water powered railway and one of only three examples left in the world. See here for more details.

Ryedale Folk Museum, Yorkshire
