West Highland White Terrier Character

Alert, playful and stubborn. They can be quite individual in their characters - owners' comments range from the perfect children's companion to those who just like to be left alone. Socialization is key. They make excellent watchdogs and will alert you to strangers approaching your house. Will take as little or as much exercise as you can give. The Breed Standard describes them as "small, active, game, hardy, possessed of no small amount of self-esteem with a varminty appearance." And let's not forget their cheekiness either!
