Field Spaniel Breed Profile

A docile, friendly chap, perhaps more suited to country than town. Provided he is well exercised, he'll make a good, obedient companion.

Obedient, intelligent and eager to please. Docile, friendly, loves the outside and country way of life. Independent and can be reserved with strangers. The Breed Standard describes them as "Unusually docile, active, sensitive, independent."

The Breed Standard stipulates the height approximately at 46cm at the shoulders. Weight between 18-25kg.

Generally a healthy dog with few breed-specific problems. Lifespan approx 13 years.

Will not be happy left alone or as a city dog. A secure garden is highly recommended as their hunting instinct is never too far away.
